Who We Are - We are a member church of our national organization, the Laestadian Lutheran Church (LLC). The LLC has 29 member congregations in the United States and Canada. Our sister organization in Finland is the SRK. We are located in the Detroit Suburb of Plymouth, Michigan just minutes from the downtown center.

Our History - Laestadians in Detroit held their first recorded meeting in 1917. In 1921 Grace Presbyterian Church at Thompson Avenue in Highland Park was purchased. The church was razed in 1925 and a basement was built, which was used until 1940 when a sanctuary was built....read more
What is the LLC? The Laestadian Lutheran Church was organized on June 9, 1973 under the name "Association of American Laestadian Congregations" (AALC). The association changed its name in 1994 in order to better convey its spiritual heritage and the nature of its organization....read more
